U.S. Health System
I have always tried to stay out of politics so please do not take this as a political statement in any way. First let me state I do not believe either party has a fix at this time for the health care system.
Let’s start at the beginning, for the last several elections all we heard was the existing Medicare system had serious issues and not enough young people were entering the work force to cover the rising cost and the existing Medicare system.
FACT: problem identified still not resolved.
Let’s discuss existing health care issues and problems, you can learn more by downloading the ’10 Surprising Facts About American Health Care’. How broke is the existing system?
I am not saying we can’t or should not improve the system but as a business person where does this really sit on the list of serious issues and priorities we face as a nation?
We need to hold all of the people that represent us accountable for focusing and resolving the
major issues this country has. Yet time is wasted and we keep losing focus. If the foundation is not sound you cannot continue to build without risking total collapse.
FACT: Our basic financial structure and foundation needs to be fixed first. It is only then that we can invest time and resources to improve other areas.
A possible suggestion as a temporary solution for today if in fact there is a serious problem in health care for people not working or having other financial issues; then a simple solution would be to take some of the stimulus funds and invest them in supporting a simple network of low cost doctors or nurses in a box program.
This would save huge amounts of money over the existing system, it would provide jobs for people and if operated properly could be self-supporting and at the same time provide needed health benefits to people and family needing it.
FACT: The Government should stop wasting our precious resources and focus on the real problems our country faces.
FACT: In business it is simple; you perform or go out of business. It should be that simple for our politicians.
What are your views on our healthcare system?
